Editorial Board Member — Clinical Hematopathology
Dr. Ying Ying Wong is a consultant hematopathologist dedicated to advancing diagnostic hematology, laboratory quality systems, and medical education. She currently practices at Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and serves as a Visiting Consultant Hematopathologist at Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC).
Her clinical practice centers on peripheral blood and bone marrow morphology, hematological malignancies, and clinical decision support. To further advance her practice in high-resolution diagnostics, she is currently pursuing a Fellowship in Molecular Genetics in Haematological Disorders at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Beyond diagnostic medicine, Dr. Wong is actively involved in ISO 15189:2022 laboratory accreditation and patient safety frameworks. As an educator, she is passionate about translating complex hematological disease processes into high-yield, visual, and practical learning resources for medical students and clinicians.
