Dr Hasni Mahayidin

MD, MPath

Dr Hasni Mahayidin is a medical lecturer and immunopathologist. She obtained her Medical Doctor degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2005 and completed her Master of Pathology (Clinical Immunology) at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2014.

She has been teaching immunology to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia, for the past 12 years. She currently serves as the Head of the Immunology Unit, Department of Pathology, Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, UPM.

Her research focuses on the immunopathogenesis and serum biomarkers of autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and type 1 diabetes mellitus. She also has a special interest in allergy, immune responses to infections, and serological diagnostics.
